The Universal is a robust sofa designed for the home or office and comes in a number of seating options including 2.5, 3 seater, chaise and ottoman as well as with or without arms to give you a multitude of configuration options. The nature of the Universal's form lends itself to many fabric possibilities. Throw cushions included.

Simon James infuses character into clean, uncomplicated forms. Having founded his eponymous brand in 2001, Simon’s appreciation of craftsmanship continues to deepen, as he explores material tactility in new and exciting ways. His design approach is largely intuitive, with people and their experiences of a space a central focus for him.
Simon designs original furniture for both residential and commercial spaces under the Simon James Design name and collaborates regularly with businesses and architects on custom work.
He is Creative Director of export furniture and lighting brand Resident, which was co-founded with Scott Bridgens. In both companies, Simon leads a team of designers and it is this collaborative spirit that drives his innovative, award-winning work.
