Nura Round Placemat - Pain/Brulee

The Nura Placemat by Chiarastella Cattana is a round linen placemat with pain brûlé scalloped edges and lightly coated cordonetto. A generous placemat that can be used in the centre of the table for serving bowls and dishes, or as single placemat settings around a table. The natural base colour with burnt prune coloured trim is timeless and elegant.
The scalloped shape is a homage to the Lido - a tiny stretch of land between the Venetian lagoon and the Adriatic sea. The linen placemats perfectly embody the Lido's relaxed atmosphere during the 1960s and add a beautiful yet understated touch at any mise en place.

Chiarastella
Chiarastella Cattana is a fabric designer based in Venice, Italy. Her work weaves traditional craftsmanship together with contemporary colours and patterns. By mixing different threads, she is able to give her creations a life and texture that are her signature.
Her career began in Milan, at a time when Made in Italy was stressing the importance of product quality. Through the experience in fashion, her knowledge of fabrics became the rule, and made her passion grow stronger.
The encounter with a South Tyrolean weaving factory allowed her to develop her own concept, tied to the extraordinary potential of local craft. The result is a collection of exquisite home textiles, designed to celebrate any moment with elegance.
In case of stain, wipe with a damp cloth. Be careful with highly pigmented coloring food. Do not let the color penetrate the fabric but clean immediately. These placemats doesn’t need to be washed often but they are machine washable at 40 degrees with mild soap. No softener. No tumble dry. Iron if desired. Do not fold the placemat but just wrap it.
