Designed by Jamie McLellan for Resident, the Plane Lounge Chair is as much a sculptural statement as it is a place for repose.
The chair's bold geometric form celebrates its solid timber materiality and precise craftsmanship. Two monumental legs support a curved, cantilevered seat, whilst a seamlessly integrated backrest enhances both comfort and composition. The result is an elegant lounge piece that strikes a deliberate balance between solidity and lightness, function and comfort.

In stock product can be returned within 14 days, for a credit or exchange. Please choose carefully as we do not refund for change of mind. Products must be returned unused, with all original packaging and we reserve the right to refuse a return if the product does not meet our requirements. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the purchaser, unless the products received were damaged/faulty.

Designer Profile
Jamie McLellan is Head of Design for Allbirds in San Francisco, where he’s been responsible for building the brand’s design ethos and product language.
The early part of Jamie’s design career was spent working in Italy, Hong Kong and Hawaii, before eventually ending up in London working closely with internationally acclaimed designer Tom Dixon.
Jamie then returned home to set up his own product and furniture design consultancy based in Auckland, New Zealand. His clients included established global brands such as Cathay Pacific, Neil Pryde and Tom Dixon, along with innovative start-ups like Bodha, Resident, and Allbirds, which he ultimately joined as the brand’s first Head of Design.
The objects Jamie has designed are wide ranging - from lighting to luxury water craft, olympic bicycles to beer taps, furniture to woollen footwear. Often celebrating the engineering within, these designs can all be described as minimal with a singular maximal twist, or in Jamie’s words “just the right amount of nothing”.

All sale purchases are final and not eligible for return or exchange. All sale goods are sold in as-new condition, however please note packaging may show signs of light wear.
Sale purchases are online only, stock will not be available at our retail locations.
Sale purchases will be dispatched in chronological order. Please allow 3-5 days for dispatch at this busy time, and then standard shipping timeframes will apply. Same day shipping is not available for sale items. Freight for oversized or large items, domestic or international, may incur additional charges. This will be invoiced to you and must be paid before the goods are dispatched.

We ship furniture and lighting orders nationwide within New Zealand. These are either shipped with a selected courier or fragile freight carrier, with the pricing dependent on the location, size and weight of the item/s. The total freight will be calculated at checkout for your order. We reserve the right to apply additional charges for rural, low service or difficult access.
We offer free collection from our Auckland Warehouse in Eden Terrace on Monday-Friday. Saturday collection of smaller items can be pre-arranged before end of day Thursday via our Furniture & Lighting Showroom.
