The Tronco by Mattiazzi, designed by Sam Hecht, explores the relationship between solid timber construction and considered craftsmanship. Formed from solid strips of ash, its pared-back geometry reflects a material-led approach, where apparent simplicity is the result of careful experimentation and precision.
Designed for both individual use and larger settings, the Tronco chair combines natural comfort with the ability to stack up to ten high and connect in rows. Its restrained form creates a subtle sense of texture when arranged in multiples, making it well suited to spaces requiring a considered approach to seating. Available in a range of coloured stains that bring out the grain of the ash, the collection also includes a table with chamfered edges, designed to sit seamlessly alongside others.
