Peter Straka

Designer Peter Straka is a graduate of Industrial Design at the Viennese University of Applied Arts, and a trained metalworker and engineer. Straka's design work is a considered blend of art, technology and craftsmanship – all combined with a clear vision of using only what is essential. His philosophy stems from the belief that the design process is both a complete circle, and a continuous journey, one with no beginning or end. The result is design as a journey: with the light off – the aesthetic object, with the light on – the value of its function.
