Cluster Stool
BassamFellows
The Cluster Stool by BassamFellows was originally conceived as a key seating component for a commercial client’s 32,000 ft2 flagship hospitality space in the Meatpacking District of Manhattan. It belongs to a long tradition of Modernist stools, designed to withstand constant use, offering maximum functionality. Designer Craig Bassam wanted to create something with visual weight and density, but which could also stack neatly when not in use. Grouped in this way, the sculptural elements of the tapered legs and the curve in each seat panel of the Cluster come to the fore, creating an incidental installation.
Craig bassam
Australian Architect Craig Bassam and American Creative Director Scott Fellows joined forces in 2003 to form BassamFellows. Following successful solo ventures, BassamFellows was born with a shared vision in mind - to take the fundamentals of Modernism into the new century.
BassamFellows' philosophy combines quality and craftsmanship with technology and engineering precision, to create an integrated design approach across architecture, furniture and accessories. Renowned for their exceptional materiality and distinctive creativity and character, the brand has taken shape over two decades and three continents, building a design language accented by purity, refinement and visual pleasure.
