We Are Hiring - Ecommerce Lead

Role Overview

Simon James is seeking a dynamic Ecommerce Lead to drive the performance, optimisation and growth of our online store and digital customer experience. Supporting the Marketing Manager, this role sits at the intersection of brand, customer experience and commercial performance, and is responsible for delivering a seamless, high-performing online brand experience that supports sales growth and business objectives. 

The ideal candidate will have a strategic and analytical mindset, alongside visual and technical expertise. Proven experience with Shopify is essential, plus Google Analytics, and Meta. You will use data and insights to identify opportunities, improve campaign performance, streamline ecommerce operations, and ensure the online store is performing at its full potential.

 

Ecommerce

  • Manage the performance and day-to-day operations of Simon James’ online store, including product creation, content, merchandising, pricing.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a cohesive, accurate brand and product representation, including pricing and availability.
  • Use testing, analytics and reporting to support ongoing website optimisation initiatives, to improve conversion, user experience and online sales performance.
  • Implement strategies that drive conversion and online sales growth.
  • Identify, prioritise and deliver website enhancements in collaboration with developers and internal stakeholders.
  • Support campaign execution and coordinate seamless integration between ecommerce and marketing activity.
  • Maintain website content and oversee publishing of journal and editorial content.
  • Optimise the customer experience and customer journey online.

 

Digital & Content 

  • Utilise Adobe Suite to create and support visual assets for online product creation.
  • Manage client communications and relationships across all digital channels, including email, live chat, and online enquiries.
  • Create and manage print and digital creative assets required for brand identity and product campaigns.
  • Maintain a cohesive and elevated visual language across ecommerce, all digital platforms, and printed materials.
  • Support Marketing with graphic design and visual content where needed.

 

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing and optimising Shopify ecommerce websites including integrated apps such as Stoq, ideally in a premium retail or design-led environment.
  • Experience with Google Analytics and Meta.
  • Commercially-minded with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with website development and technical implementation is a plus.
  • Confident collaborating across marketing, creative and technical teams.
  • Adobe Suite and graphic design experience required.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work independently.
