Simon James opens the doors to its newly-renovated Herne Bay Store

Simon James opens the doors to its newly-renovated Herne Bay Store—now offering a private space dedicated to Jessica McCormack jewellery.

Designed in collaboration with Knight Associates, Simon James opens the doors to its newly-renovated Herne Bay shop, with a private space dedicated to Jessica McCormack jewellery.
The retail flagship store is an elegant ode to modernist design. Bathed in gentle light thanks to the historic building’s original, street-front windows, the new fit-out is understated, spacious and finished with a careful attention to detail. Inside, light timber floors and softly-plastered walls contrast perfectly with strong steel accents, warm swathes of brown and sumptuous, burnt-red drapery.

Dedicated to Jessica McCormack’s fine diamond jewellery (of which Simon James is one of the only stockists in the world), this intimate room will be open to anyone wanting to browse the collections or try pieces on, and will also be used for private, one-on-one consultations.

True to Simon James’ signature of balancing form with function, its new Herne Bay store is as visually appealing as it is practical. Finally reopen to the public from now, it has been transformed into a home fit for the brand’s curation of objects, homewares, fashion, skincare and jewellery.
