Bone bowl - extra large
By
Tom Dixon
A sculptural bowl for the table top by Tom Dixon. Cast in solid brass with a matte finish each bowl is formed into an intricate, curved lattice form. Bearing a bone-like quality, its open structure works as an ideal fruit bowl or decorative table top piece; with the lattice form reflecting and casting shadows beautifully on a surface - adding great visual depth to any interior.

Stocked Items

Made to Order
We work slightly differently to some other retailers where most of our upholstered items are made to order, this way we can produce a product that is unique to you. This process starts with understanding your requirements and our consultants offering furniture solutions that are best suited to you. In terms of fabric there are many possibilities outside of what you just see on this site and we are happy to discuss what will work best for you and your environment.
Imported Product
We strive to keep a selection of our best sellers from the import brands we work with in stock, but to keep this range diverse we aren’t able to hold all items in stock, so a number of our imported items will have lead time out of Europe. We can provide further lead time information during the time of enquiring as this can vary depending on the time of the year.
Get in touch to discuss any of these options further.

Product Care
Use with dry food only and wash in warm soapy water and dry with a soft cloth. Due to the inherent nature of brass, this object will naturally form a patina overtime. Tom Dixon finished his 'Bone' range with a gold satin wash, which his intention is to see this object darken with use over the years; embracing the unique qualities of brass. We recommend following care instructions to maintain its appearance. Variations will occur between products due to the handmade process and nature of the material.

Tom Dixon OBE is an award-winning, self-taught designer. After school in London, he played bass guitar for the band Funkapolitan, and appeared on Top of the Pops. He then ran several nightclubs. Having learned to weld, his first furniture designs were made from found objects like bits of scaffolding and old grates. In 1992, the Victoria and Albert Museum purchased his S-Chair for its permanent collection; the Museum of Modern Art, New York, followed suit. He is the former creative director of Habitat and a partner in the Dock Kitchen restaurant in Ladbroke Grove, west London. He went on to create Tom Dixon, the brand gave Tom a platform to produce iconic designs and accessories that can be found in homes, museums, restuaruants and establishments throughout the world.
