We are Hiring - Commercial Account Manager

Simon James is seeking an Account Manager to join our Auckland based Commercial Furniture and Lighting team. An exciting opportunity with considerable scope and potential.

 

Role Overview

We are seeking an ambitious and results-oriented Account Manager to join our team and drive growth within the Commercial Furniture division. In this key sales-focused role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and providing tailored furniture solutions to meet the needs of commercial clients. You will play a crucial role in driving revenue by assisting the sales team while ensuring an exceptional client experience.

 

Key Responsibilities

- Lead generation & business development: Proactively identify and generate new sales opportunities by researching and prospecting commercial clients, including businesses, corporate offices, education institutions, and hospitality sectors.
- Client engagement & relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers, procurement managers, and business owners, ensuring regular follow-up to drive new and repeat business.
- Consultative selling: Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions, offering expert advice on product selection, design, and functionality to ensure the best outcomes for each client.
- Sales presentations & proposals: Collaborate with internal teams to create detailed proposals and customised quotations that meet client specifications.
- Client service: Ensure a high level of client care by addressing client enquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring smooth delivery and installation of products, fostering long-term client loyalty.

 

Key Expectations

- Proven experience in a sales role, preferably within the commercial furniture industry or a likeminded field.
- Strong ability to generate leads, build relationships, and close sales through consultative selling techniques.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior-level decision-makers.
- Results-driven, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple client accounts and projects simultaneously.
- A keen understanding of the commercial furniture market, products, and industry trends is a plus.

This role is based in our Mt Eden Showroom, and will suit someone who is looking forward to being a valued part of a dedicated team within the design industry.
